Join us for this no-nonsense complementary event on workplace mental health, kindly hosted by DWF.

Leading employers Barclays, Three Mobile and DWF will share their experiences of creating a healthier and happier workforce. Our speakers will keep it practical, by sharing their knowledge and examples of workplace initiatives they are putting in place to support and improve employee mental health. You will hear:

  • What they are doing to raise awareness of mental wellbeing in their workforce
  • How investing in the mental health is having a positive impact on their business

Employers play a critical role in supporting employee mental health and wellbeing and with the fast-changing nature of work, there has never been a more vital time for organisations to ensure they are supporting the mental health and wellbeing of employees. Not simply because it’s the “right thing to do”, but because creating a healthy working culture makes sound business sense. Happy, healthy workers are generally more productive and motivated.

  • On average one in six people working in your organisation will experience mental health problems.
  • Over a fifth (22%) of businesses report that mental ill health is the primary cause of long-term absence compared with 13% in 2016.

We will look at the challenges that businesses face, as well as the opportunities that being proactive about mental health can present. There are a great number of practical steps that employers can take to improve and protect mental health in the workplace.

Flexible working and good work life balance are certainly part of the solution to a healthier workforce– our employer panel will discuss how workplace innovations and redesigning work patterns has helped the employees' overall wellbeing.
