Gillian Jones, HR Manager (Operations), University of Dundee.
Gillian joined the University in 1993 and during periods of full-time and flexibleworking, gained HR operational and strategic partner experience across a variety of areas of the organisation before taking up her current role as a member of the HR & Organisational Development Directorate’s senior team in 2015. The Directorate’s activities focus on the support of a high performance community, working together and supporting each other to become Scotland’s leading University, transforming lives locally and globally. Gillian’s current interests include discovering the impact of coaching and mentoring in advancing organisational values and enabling people to flourish.
Lynne McBurney - Group Head of People at Arnold Clark
Lynne is Arnold Clark’s newly appointed Head of People. Lynne has been with the Arnold Clark Group since 2005 and her role has evolved from being focused on Human Resources to developing a culture within the organisation that puts employees at the heart of everything the Group does. She’s a working mum and chair of her daughter’s dance school parent committee so she understands just how vital flexible working is.
Kate Wyatt, Employment Law Partner, Lindsays
Kate is an Employment Law Partner at Lindsays who advises both employers and individuals in a wide range of employment matters. She has worked with clients from a variety of sectors including life sciences, higher education and independent schools along with charities and not-for-profit organisations. Kate has experience of bringing and defending discrimination claims, along with unfair dismissal and equal pay claims, and provides her employer clients with advice in relation to disciplinary and grievance matters, capability and conduct dismissals, redundancies and restructurings along with contract issues. She has also advised employees and employers on the application of the TUPE regulations. Kate also advises senior employees, including in relation to negotiating contracts of employment and settlement agreements, and on post termination restrictions.
Marion Gillooly, Head of Strategic Development and Innovation, Includem
Includem is a registered charity that provides intensive relationship-based support to young people who are often excluded from more mainstream services. Marion joined Includem in 2016, having previously been a Professional Advisor to the Scottish Government. Marion’s experience includes university and pharmaceutical industry research, and service management in local authority children’s services.
